Go Kart Freight and Delivery and Parts Orders Shipping
GoKartMasters Shipping Policy
Go-Kart Freight Delivery, Inspection and Parts Shipping
GoKartMasters pays for residential freight delivery, a delivery appointment and liftgate service on new vehicle orders. Because delivery is performed by an independent freight carrier, customers still need to know what to expect—and what to do when the carrier does not follow the expected process.
The most important rule: inspect and photograph the shipment before signing the bill of lading.
New vehicle orders
What GoKartMasters Includes
GoKartMasters arranges and pays the freight carrier for the following services on new go-kart and vehicle orders:
Residential delivery
The shipment is addressed for delivery to the residential address provided with the order.
Delivery appointment
The local freight terminal is expected to contact the customer and arrange a delivery time.
Liftgate service
A hydraulic liftgate is included so the crated vehicle can be lowered from the trailer.
Required signature
An adult must inspect and sign for the shipment. Do not authorize an unattended delivery.
Freight delivery is a third-party service
GoKartMasters pays for and requests these services, but the freight carrier and its driver perform the actual delivery. We can explain what is expected, but we cannot directly control the local terminal, its scheduling staff or the individual driver. Most deliveries follow the proper process. Very rarely, a carrier may arrive without an appointment or leave a shipment somewhere inappropriate. Contact GoKartMasters when the carrier is not providing the services listed above.
Before delivery day
The Freight Terminal Should Schedule an Appointment
After the shipment reaches the destination freight terminal, the carrier should call the phone number on the order to arrange delivery. Provide a valid number, answer unfamiliar calls and keep voicemail available.
If the carrier calls
Confirm the address, delivery date, approximate time window and that the truck will have a liftgate and pallet jack.
If the carrier does not call
Use the freight tracking information to contact the destination terminal and schedule the appointment. Contact GoKartMasters if you cannot reach the carrier or need help identifying the terminal.
If the carrier arrives unexpectedly
Do not let the driver pressure you into signing without an inspection. The shipment still requires documentation and a signature.
Official delivery location
Delivery Is to the End of the Driveway
Residential freight delivery officially ends at the street-side end of the customer’s driveway. The driver is expected to lower the crate with the liftgate and move it off the liftgate using a pallet jack.
What the driver must do
- Arrive with the included liftgate service
- Lower the crated vehicle from the trailer
- Use a pallet jack to move the crate off the liftgate
- Provide the bill of lading for inspection and signature
What may be possible
Some drivers will move the crate farther down a suitable driveway, into a garage or to another convenient location. That is a courtesy arranged directly with the driver—not part of the purchased delivery service and not something GoKartMasters can guarantee.
Prepare your property
Consider the length and weight of a freight truck, overhead branches, narrow entrances, soft ground, snow, steep grades and turnaround space. Discuss any access concerns with the terminal before delivery day.
If the driver says liftgate service was not ordered, show that it is included with your GoKartMasters delivery and contact us. You may require the carrier to provide the paid liftgate service.
Before signing anything
Inspect, Photograph and Document the Shipment
Most crated vehicles arrive with some cosmetic wear to the cardboard or metal shipping crate. A rough-looking crate does not automatically mean the kart is seriously damaged, but every concern should be documented before the driver leaves.
Photograph every angle
- Front of the crate
- Back of the crate
- Left and right sides
- Top of the shipment
- Inside the crate when visible
- Shipping labels and identifying numbers
- Close-ups of every damaged area
- The unloading process if handling appears rough
Write it on the bill of lading
Describe any damage or concern on the delivery receipt before signing. Do not write only “subject to inspection.” Be specific whenever possible.
Examples: “Right side of metal crate bent,” “cardboard torn near engine,” “top frame rail pushed down” or “loose parts visible inside crate.”
Have the driver acknowledge it
Ask the driver to initial or sign beside the written damage notation. Photograph the completed bill of lading before the driver leaves.
Do not accept a verbal promise that the damage has already been recorded electronically.
A driver cannot forbid you from recording visible freight damage. Do not sign a clean delivery receipt when the shipment is visibly damaged.
Accept or refuse?
Most Shipments Should Be Accepted
Accept and document
- Torn or scuffed cardboard
- Cosmetic crate damage
- Paint scuffs or scratches
- Cracked cosmetic panels
- Bent crate sections that do not indicate catastrophic vehicle damage
- Other repairable damage
Refuse only for extraordinary damage
- Oil leaking throughout the shipment
- An engine that is clearly punctured
- Catastrophic structural damage that plainly makes the vehicle unsafe or beyond reasonable repair
When possible, contact GoKartMasters before refusing the shipment.
Report damage promptly
Report visible damage, concealed damage or missing components within two weeks of delivery—preferably on delivery day. Early reporting gives everyone the best opportunity to identify what happened and provide the correct parts.
Text 605-368-1612 with your name, order number, exact model, description of the problem, photographs and a short video when useful.
Text GoKartMastersDo not discard the crate or packaging until you have inventoried the vehicle and inspected it for concealed damage. Do not return a vehicle or part without prior authorization from GoKartMasters.
Different process for smaller shipments
Parts Order Shipping
Parts orders do not follow the vehicle freight process. Parts may ship from the GoKartMasters main warehouse or be drop-shipped directly from TrailMaster. A single order may arrive in more than one package or on different days.
Possible carriers
Parts ship through UPS, FedEx or the United States Postal Service. The warehouse chooses the carrier available for the shipment.
Requested service
GoKartMasters makes every reasonable effort to use the shipping service selected and paid for by the customer. That service is not guaranteed when TrailMaster fulfills the order because TrailMaster uses the available carrier and service.
Processing and transit
Processing and delivery estimates are not guaranteed arrival dates. Carrier delays, weather, holidays, backorders and warehouse availability can affect delivery.
Missing or damaged parts
Photograph the package, shipping label, packing material, damaged part and any identifying part numbers. Keep all packaging while the issue is reviewed.
Contact GoKartMasters before refusing a package, returning a part or filing a separate claim. Do not mail parts back without return authorization.
Avoidable carrier charges
When the Customer Is Responsible for Additional Fees
GoKartMasters pays the normal vehicle freight, residential delivery, appointment and liftgate charges. Customers are responsible for additional carrier costs created by their own actions or incorrect information.
- Missing a scheduled delivery appointment
- Providing an incorrect or incomplete delivery address
- Providing an invalid or unreachable phone number
- Failing to respond to the freight terminal
- Storage charges caused by delayed customer scheduling
- Redelivery or address-correction charges
- Refusing a repairable shipment without GoKartMasters authorization
- Returning an order without prior authorization
Verify the delivery address and telephone number before placing the order. Contact GoKartMasters immediately if either one needs to be corrected.
Freight delivery questions
Shipping FAQs
Is liftgate service included?
Yes. GoKartMasters pays for liftgate service on vehicle freight deliveries. If the carrier arrives without it or says it was not ordered, require the carrier to provide it and contact GoKartMasters.
Will the driver put the crate in my garage?
Possibly, but do not expect it. Official delivery is to the end of the driveway. Moving the crate farther is a courtesy arranged directly with the driver.
Should I refuse a damaged crate?
Usually not. Accept and document cosmetic or repairable damage. Refuse only for extraordinary damage such as widespread oil leakage, a visibly punctured engine or catastrophic structural damage.
What should I write on the delivery receipt?
Write every concern you can see or reasonably suspect, using a specific description. Have the driver sign or initial beside the notation and photograph the completed document.
What if I find damage after opening the crate?
Keep the packaging, photograph the damaged area and report it to GoKartMasters within two weeks—preferably on delivery day. Include your order information, exact model, photographs and a short video when useful.
Why did my parts order arrive in separate packages?
Parts may ship from the GoKartMasters warehouse or directly from TrailMaster. Separate fulfillment locations can produce different tracking numbers, carriers and delivery dates.
