Buying, Pricing and Payment

Is it safe to buy a go-kart online?

Yes—when you buy from an experienced dealer that can support the machine after delivery. GoKartMasters has sold TrailMaster machines for nearly 20 years. We provide model guidance, freight instructions, assembly resources, parts support and a 12-month warranty rather than simply shipping a crate and disappearing. Read why families choose GoKartMasters and learn what makes TrailMaster different.

How do I choose the right model?

Choose by rider fit, experience, terrain and intended use—not by age alone. Our TrailMaster buyer's guide compares the current lineup, while the rider-fit guide explains how to evaluate pedal, steering, seating and restraint fit.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept PayPal and all major debit and credit cards. Eligible customers may also apply for PayPal Credit directly through PayPal.

Will I be charged sales tax?

Sales tax is calculated at checkout wherever legally required. Many GoKartMasters customers currently pay no sales tax, but the amount depends on the delivery location and applicable tax law.

Does the advertised price include shipping?

Yes. Go-karts, mini bikes and dirt bikes include free shipping within the lower 48 states. UTVs and golf carts require a special quote because they are transported by a car-hauler service.

Can GoKartMasters price match another dealer?

Yes, we can review a price match on an identical machine. Compare the competitor's complete delivered price—not only the number shown on the product page. Some sellers add freight, residential-delivery, liftgate, handling or other charges in the cart. Our free-shipping prices are designed to be clear from the beginning. Review the complete GoKartMasters Price Match Promise.

Can I cancel my order?

Our general policy is no cancellations. If the machine has not shipped, GoKartMasters may approve a cancellation and refund the payment minus a 3% processing charge. Once the machine has shipped, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded.

Can I return a machine if I change my mind?

No. Complete machines are not returnable. Our warranty and support process are designed to correct qualifying problems and make the machine operational; they are not a satisfaction-return program. If an owner later decides the machine is no longer wanted, it may be sold privately.

Availability Changes Quickly

Most online TrailMaster dealers draw from the same shared inventory. Because machines can sell throughout that network at any time, it is virtually impossible to display perfectly current model and color quantities online.

Orders normally require up to 48 hours for payment funds to be released before the drop-ship order can be finalized. If the first color choice sells out during that time, we may ship the second color specifically selected on the order. We will never substitute a different model or a color that was not selected without the customer's approval.

From the warehouse to your driveway

Shipping and Freight Delivery

How long does delivery take?

Most machines arrive within approximately 10–14 days of the initial order. This is a typical timeline—not a guarantee. Payment processing, warehouse volume, distance, weather, carrier schedules and terminal delays can change delivery timing. The complete freight-delivery guide explains the process from order confirmation through driveway delivery.

What does free freight delivery include?

GoKartMasters pays for residential freight delivery, liftgate service, a delivery appointment and required signature. Official delivery is to the end of the driveway. The driver unloads the steel crate using the liftgate and pallet jack. A driver may agree to move it somewhere more convenient, but garage placement is not included or guaranteed.

Will the carrier call before delivery?

The freight company should call to schedule an appointment. Freight is a third-party service, however, and GoKartMasters cannot control every terminal or driver. If the carrier has not contacted you, call the carrier's customer-service number shown with the tracking information to schedule delivery.

Should I refuse a crate that looks damaged?

Usually, no. Cosmetic damage to cardboard and the metal crate is common. Accept the shipment, write every concern on the bill of lading before signing, have the driver initial or sign beside the notation and photograph everything. Refuse delivery only when the engine is clearly punctured or oil is leaking extensively from the machine.

What delivery photos should I take?

Photograph the front, back, left, right and top of the crate; the inside after removing the cardboard; every damaged area; and the unloading process if the shipment looks rough. Documentation is the most important part of a successful freight-damage claim. Follow the TrailMaster unboxing and parts-inventory guide before cutting every zip tie.

How quickly must shipping damage or missing parts be reported?

Report concerns within two weeks and preferably on the delivery day. Keep the crate and packaging until the machine is fully inventoried and assembled. Our unboxing checklist shows where commonly overlooked hardware, keys, documents and components are packed.

Where do you ship complete machines?

Complete machines ship within the lower 48 states. Customers in Alaska or Hawaii may arrange their own freight forwarding from an eligible delivery location. Parts can be shipped to all 50 states.

What happens if I miss delivery or provide the wrong address?

The customer is responsible for redelivery, storage, address-correction or related carrier fees caused by a missed appointment, inaccessible delivery location or incorrect address.

Preparing the machine

Assembly and First Setup

How assembled is the machine?

Most go-karts arrive about 80% assembled. The engine, steering, brakes and electrical systems are prepared. Model-specific final assembly commonly includes the roll cage, wheels, seats, steering wheel, fuel tank and battery.

Can a family assemble it?

If you can read instructions and turn a wrench, you can generally complete the assembly. Most families should allow about two hours. Two experienced adults with tools can often finish in under an hour.

Will I need help?

A second adult is recommended for aligning the roll cage and safely lifting or supporting the machine. Complete a thorough control, brake, steering, wheel and hardware inspection before riding.

What tools are needed?

Plan on metric sockets and wrenches up to 24 mm, a ratchet or impact, screwdrivers, needle-nose pliers, rubber mallet, cutters, an air compressor and a low-pressure tire gauge.

What ownership really requires

Setup, Maintenance and Everyday Use

Do machines arrive with engine oil?

They normally arrive with some engine oil, but usually need to be topped off. Always check before the first start and before each ride. We recommend synthetic 10W-30. Use the dipstick as the final guide and rest it on the threads while checking. Never add oil to the gearbox. Complete the first-start and pre-ride checklist before turning the key.

What fuel should I use?

Use fresh premium, ethanol-free gasoline whenever possible and add fuel stabilizer to every tank. Regular gasoline is acceptable when necessary. Do not use gasoline older than about two months, and avoid pouring the sediment and water that can collect in the bottom of a fuel can into the machine. Our Keys to Success guide covers the fuel, battery and storage habits that prevent many problems.

When is the first service due?

Complete the break-in service at five riding hours. Change the engine oil and inspect the machine while early-use hardware, chain, cables and controls are settling. After break-in, plan on routine service around every 20 riding hours or once a year, whichever comes first.

Are TrailMaster machines maintenance-free?

No. These are real powersports machines. Chains, brakes, belts, cables, tires, batteries, fuel systems and hardware require inspection, adjustment and eventual replacement. Owners should have basic tools, follow the maintenance schedule and pay attention to how the machine normally looks, sounds and feels. Start at the New Go-Kart Owners resource center and use the go-kart washing guide after muddy rides.

Are TrailMaster go-karts street legal?

TrailMaster recreational go-karts are sold as off-road vehicles. Do not assume they can be registered or used on public roads. The owner is responsible for knowing and following local riding rules.

What safety gear is required?

Every driver and passenger should wear a properly fitted DOT-approved full-face motorcycle helmet and closed-toe shoes. Goggles are recommended, and every go-kart occupant must use the installed restraint. Children require active adult supervision. Review our helmet and riding-gear guide and the Safety and Rider Fit hub.

Coverage with owner participation

The 12-Month Master Warranty

What does it cover?

The warranty covers qualifying manufacturer defects and properly documented shipping damage. Coverage generally begins on the order date and applies to the original GoKartMasters customer and machine. Read the complete GoKartMasters warranty policy for current terms and claim requirements.

What is excluded?

Labor, freight, maintenance, adjustments, normal wear, misuse, collision damage, neglect and damage caused by improper assembly, operation or repair are not manufacturer defects.

What will the owner need to do?

Warranty support is a diagnostic partnership. The customer may need to send photos or video, perform troubleshooting, inspect components and install an approved replacement part. Repair-shop labor is not included.

Does the warranty allow returns?

No. Warranty remedies a qualifying defect; it does not create a return, cancellation or satisfaction-refund right for a complete machine.

About GoKartMasters

Where is GoKartMasters located?

GoKartMasters is located in Lennox, South Dakota. We are an online-only dealer and do not operate a public showroom, offer test rides or provide customer pickup.

How long has GoKartMasters sold TrailMaster?

We have sold TrailMaster since the brand came to the United States nearly 20 years ago and have sold close to 5,000 TrailMaster go-karts, mini bikes and UTVs. Our family has an even longer history designing, manufacturing, riding and repairing small recreational machines.

Why does GoKartMasters sell TrailMaster?

TrailMaster offers the best combination we have found of build quality, size selection, product consistency, improvement and long-term parts availability. We have even consulted on engineering, features and new-model development—not merely repeated manufacturer advertising.

Where are TrailMaster machines made?

TrailMaster machines are manufactured in China through BV Powersports and imported through its Texas operation. What separates the brand from an unknown imported kart is consistent production, continuing model families, U.S. distribution and parts support that reaches back to older machines.

What happened with the older BBB complaints?

During 2021–2022, the business experienced a serious family health emergency and an operational breakdown under its previous day-to-day management. Scott and Kim Pannell took responsibility for the affected customer situations, addressed orders and refunds and rebuilt the company's systems. We keep this explanation available because transparency matters. Read the fuller GoKartMasters story and buying-confidence guide.
