The Blazer name has been used on two-seat Mid-based machines, full-size 150 and 200 machines, EFI models and older four-seat karts. They may share the family look, but they do not all use the same mechanical parts.

Which TrailMaster Blazer Do You Own?
Begin with the number of seats and overall chassis size. Next check the model decals, serial plate, engine area, fuel system, reverse equipment and dashboard. The engine number alone does not identify the go-kart model.

Do not guess from appearance alone. Body panels, wheels, seats and engines can be replaced. When identification is uncertain, send complete left, right, front and rear photos; the serial plate behind the driver's seat; model decals; engine area; dashboard; rear drivetrain and the part you need.

The Blazer 200R and 200EX are not two trim levels of the same kart. They use different-size chassis and different drivetrains. Identify the model before ordering any mechanical part.

Select the category matching the model decal and chassis. Many 200R mechanical parts are shared with the Mid XRX-R, while the hood, bumper, fenders, plastics, seats and other appearance parts remain Blazer-specific.
Common purchases include red seats, complete seat sets, hoods, body panels, fenders, fender brackets, bumpers, harnesses, CVT belts, chains, brake parts, shifter cables, batteries, starters, solenoids, carburetors, EFI parts, switches, lights, wheels, tires, fuel tanks and steering components.
Confirm before installing. Once a part is installed, it is considered used. Electrical parts are not returnable. If the part is not shown online, GoKartMasters can special-order available TrailMaster OEM parts after identification.

How to Start a TrailMaster Blazer
Blazer 200R
- Engage the parking brake and select neutral.
- Turn the key to ON.
- Turn the fuel valve at the tank to the vertical position and the engine valve toward the front of the kart.
- Pull and hold the dash choke out for a cold start.
- Turn the key to start, or use the pull-start backup. A first start may take more attempts than a normal start.
- Move the choke halfway in as the engine begins warming, then fully in after approximately one minute.
- Move the parking-brake lever completely forward and confirm the brake is fully released before applying throttle.
Blazer 200X, 200EX and Full-Size Models
- Select neutral.
- Press and hold the brake to activate the starter safety switch.
- Turn the key one click to ON.
- On the EFI 200EX, pause briefly so the fuel pump can prime.
- Turn the key to START and release it when the engine starts.
- Do not crank for more than six seconds. Wait momentarily before another attempt.
- Pat the accelerator gently only when necessary.
- Warm the engine for approximately one minute before riding.
Carbureted full-size cold start: the carbureted 150 and 200 platforms use automatic-choke equipment. If additional choke is needed on an applicable full-size model, briefly cover the snorkel coming from the air-filter box by hand while starting. Do not block the intake after the engine begins running.
Break-in and regular maintenance
Blazer Service Schedule
First five hours
Ride normally, pay attention to changes and check chain tension approximately every hour while it stretches.
At five hours
Complete the required first service, change the engine oil and inspect the complete machine.
Ongoing service
Approximately every 20 hours or once a year, whichever comes first.
- Use synthetic 10W-30 engine oil and rest the dipstick on the threads when checking the level.
- Never add engine oil to the gearbox. Use the engine dipstick as the final level gauge.
- Maintain approximately 1/4 to 1/2 inch of chain movement.
- Inspect brakes, steering, wheel fasteners, hardware, throttle return, air filter, belt and shifter adjustment.
- On the 200R, clean the torque converter around the regular 20-hour or annual service and sooner when the belt slips or takeoff lags.
- On EFI models, maintain battery health and electrical connections even though there is no carburetor to clean or adjust.
Diagnose before replacing parts
Common Blazer Problems
200R will not move
Move the parking-brake lever completely forward first. Then inspect shifter adjustment, belt condition, torque-converter assembly and chain tension.
Shuts off after about ten minutes
On a 200R, inspect the fuel-tank vent line for a restriction that creates vacuum in the tank. Also check fuel flow and carburetor condition.
Full-size starter does nothing
Select neutral and press the brake firmly. Check the battery and brake safety switch before replacing the key switch, solenoid or starter.
Will not shift correctly
Adjust the shifter cable before assuming the gearbox has failed. Replace a cable that binds, breaks or repeatedly loses its adjustment.
Belt slips, smells or breaks
Inspect the belt and clutch system. On the 200R, confirm that the torque-converter sliding collar is installed correctly and keep grease off the belt and pulley faces.
Carbureted model runs poorly
Verify both fuel valves when applicable, use fresh stabilized premium fuel, inspect the air filter and clean or service the carburetor before replacing unrelated parts.
200EX EFI problem
Confirm battery voltage, fuel-pump priming and every EFI connection. Use ROJO diagnostic information before replacing the ECU, injector, pump, throttle body or sensors.
Plastic or fender damage
Inspect the mounting bracket as well as the plastic. A replacement panel can break again when a bent bracket, missing isolator or loose fastener remains uncorrected.

What Blazer Owners Should Know
Blazers are chosen for their side-by-side appearance, but that extra plastic is also the equipment most likely to be damaged when a child clips a fence, tree or another obstacle. Red seats and body plastics are among our most frequently requested Blazer-specific parts.
The mechanical platforms remain serviceable and well supported. The most important ownership habit is identifying whether the kart is Mid-based, full-size, carbureted, EFI or four-seat before diagnosing it or ordering a part.
Safety Before Every Ride
- Wear a properly fitted DOT-approved full-face helmet, eye protection and closed-toed shoes.
- Fasten every rider's restraint and keep arms and legs inside the frame.
- Check brake firmness, throttle return, steering, tires, wheels, hardware and the key or kill switch.
- Keep the supervising adult within sight whenever a child is driving.
- Begin each session with a slow cautionary lap and inspect the riding area for new hazards.
