Add wireless engine shutoff to your TrailMaster Mid XRX or Mid XRX-R.
Parents kept asking us the same question when shopping for a Mid-size go-kart. Could they get the extra room of a Mid and still have the remote shutoff they liked on the Mini? Scott developed this plug-and-play kit in the GoKartMasters shop to give families that option.
Installation is quick easy:
- unplug the start button and stop button
-plug them into the pigtail that connects to the existing wiring harness
-plug in the transceiver and zip tie it under the dash
-use the key fobs for remote shutoff!
Once the kit is installed, a supervising adult can use the handheld key fob to shut off the kart’s engine remotely. It can also be used to restart the kart remotely. If you already own a compatible Mid, you can add the feature to the kart you have.

Which go-karts does it fit?
This GoKartMasters kit fits the TrailMaster Mid XRX and TrailMaster Mid XRX-R. If you’re unsure which model you have or your kart’s wiring has been modified, contact us before ordering and we’ll help you check fit.
Before the first ride
Follow the included instructions and verify that the remote shuts off the engine while the kart is stationary. Keep the fob with the supervising adult during rides. The remote shuts off the engine. Use direct adult supervision and follow the kart’s normal riding and braking procedures.
