Where to Buy a Go-Kart Online

An honest pre-purchase guide for families

Before You Order a Go-Kart: Things to Know

A TrailMaster is a real off-road powersports machine, not a maintenance-free riding toy. Before ordering, make sure the model fits the riders, you have a legal place to ride, and your family is prepared for freight delivery, final assembly and hands-on ownership.

The right family will get years of outdoor fun from a TrailMaster. The wrong expectations can make even a very good machine frustrating to own.

Start with the truth

Five Things Every Buyer Should Understand

1. It requires assembly Machines arrive approximately 80 percent assembled. The owner completes final assembly and inspection.
2. It requires maintenance A required first service is due at five hours. Routine service follows around 20 hours or annually.
3. It arrives by freight A third-party carrier delivers a large metal crate to the end of the driveway.
4. Complete-machine sales are final GoKartMasters does not accept returns of complete go-karts, mini bikes or dirt bikes.
5. It is for off-road use Confirm that you have a safe, legal riding area before ordering.

Buy for the way your family will use it

Is a TrailMaster Right for Your Family?

A good match if you...

  • Want an off-road machine for family recreation.
  • Have a yard, farm, trail system or other legal riding area.
  • Can complete basic assembly or hire someone who can.
  • Are willing to inspect, maintain and occasionally repair powersports equipment.
  • Will supervise young riders and use proper safety gear.

Do not order yet if you...

  • Expect a maintenance-free toy or included repair labor.
  • Do not have a legal off-road place to ride.
  • Need a street-legal vehicle.
  • Cannot perform maintenance and cannot arrange for a mechanic.
  • Are unsure which size or model safely fits the intended driver.

If fit is the concern, start with the rider-fit guide and TrailMaster comparison guide. Rider experience, pedal reach and maturity matter more than age alone.

Choose the Exact Model, Not Just a Color or Engine Size

TrailMaster models can look similar while using different frames, controls, safety equipment, starting systems, transmissions and fuel systems. A Mini, Mid, 200 and 300 are not simply smaller or larger versions of one machine.

Read the full current product listing. Confirm the complete model name, rider fit, reverse, carburetor or EFI system, starting method and included equipment before checking out.

Plan for Final Assembly

TrailMaster go-karts arrive approximately 80 percent assembled. The engine, steering system, brakes and electrical system are substantially prepared, but the owner must complete and inspect the final setup before riding.

Typical installation

Roll cage, fuel tank, wheels and tires, seats, steering wheel and battery. Some models also require a spindle to be attached to an A-arm.

Skill level

If you can read instructions, identify hardware and turn a wrench, you can usually complete the job. Hire a qualified mechanic if you are not comfortable doing it correctly.

Time and help

Most families should allow approximately two hours. Two experienced adults with tools can often finish in under an hour. A helper is useful for the roll cage and lifting.

Tools

Metric sockets and wrenches through 24 mm, ratchet or impact, screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, rubber mallet, low-pressure tire gauge and air compressor.

Real powersports ownership

Maintenance and Adjustments Are the Owner's Responsibility

Assembly is only the beginning. Chains stretch, belts and brake pads wear, batteries discharge, fuel ages and hardware settles during early use. Paying attention and performing routine service prevents most larger problems.

Before the first startCheck and top off only the engine with synthetic 10W-30. Use the dipstick; total capacity is one quart or less. Never fill the gearbox during routine setup.
At five hoursChange the break-in oil and complete the model-specific inspection, tightening, chain, brake and drivetrain checks.
Ongoing serviceService around every 20 hours or once per year, whichever comes first, and sooner whenever a symptom appears.
Occasional repairsAdjustments and replacement of normal wear parts are part of owning any recreational powersports machine.

Understand Freight Delivery Before Ordering

GoKartMasters pays for qualifying residential freight delivery, liftgate service, a delivery appointment and required signature for complete go-karts, mini bikes and dirt bikes shipped within the lower 48 states. Official delivery is to the end of the customer's driveway.

Timing is not guaranteed

Most machines arrive approximately 10-14 days after the initial order. Banking, warehouse processing, weather, holidays and freight terminals can change that estimate.

The carrier is a third party

GoKartMasters arranges and pays for the expected service, but cannot control every terminal or driver. Most deliveries go normally; rare service failures can occur.

An adult must inspect

Photograph the shipment and write every concern on the bill of lading before signing. Have the driver acknowledge written damage.

Customer-caused fees

The customer is responsible for redelivery, storage or address-correction charges caused by a missed appointment or incorrect order information.

Read the complete freight-delivery and inspection instructions before placing the order.

Know What the Master Warranty Does

The 12-month Master Warranty begins on the delivery date and applies to the original purchaser of a qualifying machine purchased directly from GoKartMasters. It provides approved replacement parts for qualifying manufacturing defects and covered shipping damage.

It does not normally reimburse labor, outside diagnosis, maintenance, wear items, misuse or customer-caused damage. A new component may still qualify when evidence shows that it arrived with a manufacturing defect. Proper assembly, the required five-hour service and ongoing maintenance remain the owner's responsibility.

Safety begins before the purchase

Have the Riding Area and Safety Gear Ready

TrailMaster machines are intended for off-road recreation. Do not assume they may be operated on public roads, sidewalks, neighborhood streets or other prohibited property. Confirm local rules and obtain permission before riding.

Required family rules

One rider per seat, snug restraints, arms and legs inside the cage, adult supervision, one riding direction and no go-karts mixing closely with mini bikes.

Riding gear

Every driver and passenger needs a correctly fitted DOT-approved full-face helmet and closed-toed shoes. Goggles are recommended.

Suitable terrain

Avoid roads, ponds, vehicles, dangerous drop-offs and deep mud. These machines can handle normal off-road obstacles but are not designed for mudding or submersion.

Read the family go-kart safety guide and helmet and riding-gear guide.

GoKartMasters Is an Online-Only Family Business

GoKartMasters operates online from Lennox, South Dakota. There is no public showroom, customer pickup or test-ride location. Complete machines are normally drop-shipped through TrailMaster's distribution system.

Pre-Order FAQs

Are TrailMaster go-karts ready to ride when delivered?

No. They arrive approximately 80 percent assembled and require model-specific final assembly, inspection, engine-oil verification, tire-pressure adjustment and control checks before riding.

Does the price include shipping?

Complete go-karts, mini bikes and dirt bikes include shipping to qualifying residential addresses in the lower 48 states. Alaska and Hawaii customers may arrange freight forwarding. UTVs and golf carts require a separate car-hauler quote when offered.

Can I return the machine if it is too large or I change my mind?

No. Complete-machine returns are not accepted. Choose the correct size and model before ordering. The Master Warranty addresses qualifying defects; it is not a satisfaction-return policy.

Does the warranty pay a local shop's labor?

No. The warranty normally supplies approved replacement parts for qualifying covered claims. Labor and outside diagnostic charges are the customer's responsibility.

Can GoKartMasters guarantee delivery before a birthday or holiday?

No. Most machines arrive in approximately 10-14 days, but banking, warehouse and third-party freight variables prevent a guaranteed delivery date. Allow time for delivery, assembly and inspection before an event.

Is an exact color guaranteed?

No. Warehouse inventory changes during processing. Select a second choice only if you are willing to receive it. GoKartMasters will not substitute an unselected model or color without approval.

Can I visit, pick up a kart or take a test ride?

No. GoKartMasters is an online-only business based in Lennox, South Dakota, with no public showroom, customer pickup or test-ride facility.

What should I send when asking which model to buy?

Send the rider's age, experience, seated leg or pedal-reach information, number and size of riders, riding terrain, models being considered, budget and delivery ZIP code. Text 605-368-1612 or email support@gokartmasters.com.
