Parents wanted the room and reverse gear of the Mid XRX-R with the remote engine shutoff they liked on the Mini. Scott developed a plug-and-play shutoff kit for the Mid, and we paired it with our upper and lower off-road lights. The result is the GKM Commander Package, a one-of-a-kind equipment package available only from GoKartMasters.

What’s Included in the Commander Package?
We professionally design and custom-build these plug-and-play kits in our GoKartMasters shop for the TrailMaster Mid XRX-R. The Commander Package brings both upgrades together in one order.
GKM Remote Engine Shutoff Kit
A supervising adult can use the handheld key fob to shut off the engine remotely. The kit includes the fob, transceiver, wiring pigtail and basic installation instructions.
Super-Bright 12-Inch Lower LED Light Bar
The light bar mounts low on the front bumper to add forward lighting.
Two Super-Bright Upper Roll-Cage Lights
The two upper lights mount at the front of the roll cage. The lighting kit includes plug-and-play wiring pigtails and mounting hardware.
Save $100 when you buy the upgrades with the kart
The remote kit is $300 and the light bundle is $200 when purchased separately. The Commander Package adds $400 to the standard Mid XRX-R price and is already included in this listing’s price.
Get to Know the Mid XRX-R
The Mid XRX-R gives growing riders more cockpit room than a Mini and adds reverse for everyday maneuvering. When a rider pulls up too close to a fence, turns into a tight spot or needs to back out by the shed, reverse saves a trip out of the seat to push the kart.

Have your rider sit on the floor with their back against a wall and their legs extended. Measure from the wall to their heel and send us that number along with their height. We’ll help you compare those measurements with the Mid XRX-R’s seat-to-pedal reach.
Delivery, Assembly & Support
- Shipping included within the lower 48 states on qualifying orders.
- Final assembly required. Install the included remote shutoff and lighting kits during final kart assembly, then verify that both upgrades work before the first ride.
- 12-month Limited Master Warranty on qualifying machines. Read the warranty details.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the remote stop the kart?
The remote shuts off the engine. The kart can still roll, and the rider uses the brake to stop. Keep the fob with the supervising adult and test the shutoff with the kart stationary before riding.
Does the Mid XRX-R Commander have reverse?
Yes. The Mid XRX-R has a forward, neutral and reverse selector. If your riding area has plenty of room to turn and you prefer a forward-drive kart, compare the TrailMaster Mid XRX.
